12 Tips for Parent Involvement

1) Take your child to school on the first day.
2) Let your child know that school is important. Be sure to ask questions about homework, and set up a quiet place for your child to work.
3) Read everything that is sent home from school—report cards, homework assignments, school lunch plans, and vacation and bus schedules. Show your child that you are well informed.

PIRC IconNH State PIRC Advisory Board


The PIRC Advisory Board is an all-volunteer board composed of parents, educators, and community and statewide partners. Advisors assist PIRC in a variety of ways, including consulting on program development, reviewing materials, and collaborating on projects.

The Advisory Board meets four times a year, typically in Concord, with comittees sometimes meeting at other times and locales. If you would like to become a member, please call John-Michael Dumais at 603) 848-5665 or email jmdumais@nhpirc.org.
